About the Publisher, Lorrie Flem
In her own words.
I am a somewhat psychotic mother of eight who wanted to be the ideal mom but was too busy raising my kids. Being Randy's rib for more than 25 years you might expect me to be mature, responsible, wise, and dignified. I'm not. But I adore my King, love my husband and family, and want to laugh along the way.
We have five boys and three girls. The three big boys are all right-wing, gun-lovin', Carhart clad, suburban hillbilly, pizza-eating machines.
Our three girls and daughter-in-law are Lucy-like shopaholics, country music crazy, Zumba lovers. The last two little monkeys are always-grinning boys who are Daddy's shadow and Mommy's delight.
In 1998 Lorrie says she "accidentally" began publishing the award-winning magazine for homemakers, "TEACH". Today Lorrie is the author of way too many books and a speaker known for making you laugh with life-changing godly wisdom.
She has a zany fun-filled heart who desires more than anything else to look more like Jesus and be used by the King in the lives of mothers, speaking words of encouragement, exhortation, how-to's, and real-life help for moms.
Statement of Faith
Lorrie always says Eternal Encouragement has 4 main goals.
To help women:
- Look more like Jesus every day.
- Happily undergird their husbands.
- Love nurturing and training His children.
- Embrace putting their first fruits into their own homes.
The Flem family worships, learns, and serves at Calvary Chapel South in Kent WA. We have personally known the 3 pastors and their wives for about 20 years.
- • We believe that all 66 books of the Bible are 100 percent accurate and authored by the inspiration of God, 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
- • We believe that our love of Jesus unites us more than any doctrinal differences which can divide us, unless we allow them to weaken and separate us, Philippians 2:1-2.
- • We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, 1 John 5:7; and that God created all things, Genesis 1:1-2.
- • We believe Jesus is fully God and fully human, that he was born of a virgin, Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:23; lived a sinless life, Hebrews 4:15; paid for our sins by dying on the cross, 1 John 2:2; rose again, Acts 17:31 and 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; and ascended back to heaven, Mark 16:19; sent the Holy Spirit, Acts 2:1-4; and now intercedes for us, Romans 8:27 and Hebrews 7:24-25.
- • We believe that we all are sinners, Romans 3:23 and Isaiah 59:2; to whom salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered by the grace of God, Romans 6:23. When a person repents, Acts 3:19; accepts Jesus as personal Lord and Savior, Romans 10:9-11, and trusts Him to save that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13-14, all of their sins are forgiven, 1 John 1:9, and they become a child of God, and will live eternally with Him after death on earth.
